In an effort to preserve and protect this important landmark in downtown Brazil, INRA worked to take ownership of the Brazil Trust Building and is selling it for $45,000.
The Brazil Trust Building is a 1910 Neoclassical former bank building in the heart of downtown Brazil within the designated National Register Historic District, therefore eligible for Federal Rehabilitation Tax Credits. This property at 101 West National Road, remains one of the most prominent historic landmarks along Brazil's Main Street at the northwest corner of the Historic National Road and Franklin Street.
The first floor retains much of its original bank building character, including the impressive original bank safe, still in good order. The upstairs is a collection of separate rooms that were once doctors' offices and other public services. Many of the doors retain their original appearance. Overall condition of the property is good and may be rehabilitated to suit several uses.
