The 1840s version of a rest stop today, these pioneers could stop at the Huddleston Farmhouse outside of Cambridge City to water their horses and oxen, purchase food and supplies for the journey westward, or even rent a travelers kitchen on the first floor for a night in from the cold and rain. Driving the byway today, you can still stop here for a guided tour of the site or to reserve your place at one of the upcoming Harvest Suppers that will bring you back to the 1840s.
